What
An Endorsed Every 1 Reads Site offers literacy based programming to youth in the Louisville Metro community.
Organizations must register their program or activity with Every 1 Reads, necessary documentation is outlined in the Application
Endorsed programs run the gamut from one-on-one tutoring to after-school care which stresses academic achievement. At Every 1 Reads we are excited about the work you do in our community.
Why
As an Endorsed Every 1 Reads site, your organization will receive several benefits:
- Exposure: Every Every 1 Reads Endorsed Site is listed in the Youth Service Database- used by parents, teachers, and youth service coordinators
- Networking: We know that Youth Service Providers have a tremendous amount of work to do; we also recognize our overlapping mission to connect youth to successful programming. As a result, Every 1 Reads provides networking opportunities for our partners to form professional relationships, share their stories, and connect powerful programming for the betterment of our young people.
- Continuing Education: Through your partnership with the Every 1 Reads initiative, you will become eligible for training. Training topics range from Volunteer Coordination, to Onsite Volunteer Training, and innovative measures to Track the Success of your programs
- Outcomes Measurement: As an Every 1 Reads Endorsed Site, your program will enter into a partnership with Jefferson County Public Schools. This relationship will allow you to access data on the school performance of the students in your programs. You will have access to test scores, truancy rates, and suspension data. Several of our current partners have used this data to maximize interactions with the youth in their programs
- Supplies: Each Endorsed Every 1 Reads Site receives a “Starter Kit.” Included in this kit are books suitable to the age-group you serve, as well as a consultation with an Every 1 Reads Outreach Coordinator.
